Can one inning fix a season?

Bogaerts reacts to his go-ahead RBI Sunday.
The Red Sox are 5-2 in June.  It's a very small sample, but it's possible things are turning in the right direction.

Yesterday, Boston scored seven runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, turning a 4-0 deficit into a 7-4 victory.  In the entire month of May, the Red Sox totaled seven or more runs in a game on just one occasion, let alone in a single inning.

Boston has now won three straight for the first time since the season's opening weekend, tying its longest winning streak of the year.

Dustin Pedroia has a hit in every game this month while going 14-for-29 (.483), lifting his average from .289 to .313.  Xander Bogaerts is 14 for his last 29 as well (although his hot streak began on May 31).
