I don't usually make predictions, but when I do...

Two weeks ago before the Celtics opener CLNS Radio did a piece on staff predictions for the NBA season.  Here's an excerpt from mine:
Mike Brown: Legitimate NBA head coach?

First coach fired: Mike Brown
Bold Prediction(s):
  1. The Clippers overtake the Lakers for L.A. supremacy, as Howard/Gasol/Nash/Kobe never quite figure out how to play together.
Admittedly I never expected the Lakers to fire Brown yesterday, after just 5 games.  Last night Lebron James said he didn't think Brown got enough of a chance to prove himself in Los Angeles:

"I just don't think he got a fair shake, honestly. With the shortened season last year, and five games into this year, he didn't really get a full season."

Brown's firing and Lebron's subsequent defense of his former coach are particularly funny to me because just 9 days ago I wrote this:
"when they (L.A.) hired him (Brown) I thought it was a bad idea; the entirety of his resume was 'guy who happened to be the Cavs coach while they had Lebron'"
And while I'm going with the "predictions" theme, last month I said BYU should beat Notre Dame.  They came very very close.  Last Week ND should have lost to Pittsburgh.  The Irish are ranked #4 in the country.  Boston College is terrible.  But it wouldn't surprise if BC won tonight, for all the same reasons I thought BYU was going to.
